Day 1: Howrah Station Departure | Board Express Train to Guwahati
Assemble at Howrah Railway Station and meet your Bholanath Tour & Travels tour manager. Collect your Howrah–Guwahati train tickets. Board the overnight express train bound for Guwahati, Assam (~21 hours journey time). Relax on board. Overnight train journey.
Day 2: Guwahati Station Arrival | Transfer to Bhalukpong
Arrive at Guwahati Station in the morning after a comfortable train ride. Meet our representative at Guwahati Station/Airport. Board your dedicated vehicle and proceed to Bhalukpong — a scenic town in Arunachal Pradesh. Upon arrival, check into your pre-booked hotel. Relish delicious lunch and dinner. Overnight stay at hotel in Bhalukpong.
Day 3: Bhalukpong to Dirang Transfer via Tipi Orchid Centre & Upper Monastery
Enjoy breakfast in the morning. Commence a 139 km drive (5-6 hours) to Dirang. En-route, visit the famous Orchid Research Centre at Tipi housing thousands of rare Indian orchid species. Seek ILP permission at Bhalukpong Gate. Explore Sherdukpen village and visit the famous Upper Monastery in Bomdila en-route. Check into your hotel in Dirang. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Dirang.
Day 4: Dirang to Tawang Transfer via Hot Springs, Sela Pass & Jaswantgarh
Start early in the morning for a 128 km drive (4-5 hours) to Tawang. En-route, explore the natural Hot Water Spring in Dirang. Enjoy breakfast on the way. En-route, stop at the legendary Sela Pass (13,700 ft) and Sela Lake for exotic Himalayan views. Visit Jaswantgarh Museum War Memorial (commemorating 4 Garhwal Rifles hero Jaswant Singh Rawat). Check into hotel in Tawang. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Bum La Pass & Madhuri Lake Sightseeing (Optional Excursion by Syndicate Car)
Enjoy breakfast. Begin an expedition to Bum La Pass (25 km from Tawang at 15,200 ft on the Indo-China border, famous 1962 Sino-Indian War site). Visit Madhuri Lake (Sangestar Tso Lake, renamed after the movie Koyla). (Note: Excursion by local syndicate car at extra cost). Return to hotel in Tawang for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Tawang Local Sightseeing | Tawang Monastery | War Memorial | Giant Buddha
Post breakfast, embark on full day sightseeing of Tawang. Visit Gumpha Monastery (Tawang Monastery - India's largest Buddhist monastery), Tawang War Memorial, and the towering Giant Buddhist Statue. Afternoon free to explore local town market. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Tawang.
Day 7: Tawang to Bomdila Transfer | Lower Gompa & Local Market
After breakfast, commence a 171 km drive to Bomdila — headquarters of West Kameng, offering picturesque views of loft eastern Himalayan ranges. Check into hotel and freshen up. Evening visit Lower Gompa and Emporium Local Market in Bomdila. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Bomdila.
Day 8: Bomdila to Guwahati Transfer & Drop at Station | Board Return Train
Enjoy breakfast and begin a 263 km drive (approx 7 hours) back to Guwahati. Upon arrival in Guwahati, transfer to Guwahati Railway Station. Board the return overnight express train to Howrah. Overnight train journey.
Day 9: Howrah Station Arrival | Tour Ends with Sweet Memories & Jai Ma Durga!
